While wiring the money on closing dates (80% of the money funded, my realtor told me there was an issue. While the seller taking out his dryer and washer (2nd floor), there was a problem with the hose of the washer, but the seller didn’t pay attention. The water got leaked, it soak in to part of a bedroom (carpet flooring) and soak into the ceiling of the first floor and surrounding area, causing the paint peeling off.
Since loan is funded and we almost finished wiring, my agent and loan officer advised me to wired the rest and sign this.
The seller promised to fix it, but it’s been really slow. It’s been 5 days and the only thing he did was ordering a plumber to fix the hose. No water damage restoration specialist order or drywall repair yet.
Anyone experienced similar situation? What is the best way to deal with this problem? Thank you!
