We found our dream home. Great price and only 9 years old. Everything basically looks new still.
Recently we found out the seller lied. He stated the house does not need flood insurance. Turns out it does. The house will be removed from needing flood insurance sometime in 2025 but there’s no solid date. The sellers agreed to pay for our flood insurance for a year.
Next the reason the first buyer pulled out was because of a permit issue for pool deck and shed. Realtor stated it’s all handled. Turns out owner applied for permits than cancelled. The deck is huge and would cost around 30k to rebuild to code if someone flagged it.
We are beginning to not trust the sellers and wonder if there is more they are hiding. We are thinking about backing out but afraid on entering the market again.
